Building a broader movement.

Beyond our own ventures, we collaborate with and invest in companies driving lignin innovation forward. These partnerships extend the reach of our platform across new sectors of the bioeconomy

Lignopure

Lignopure is Hamburg-based materials technology company developing bio-based powders and particles from lignin for applications in cosmetics, health and materials science. Their approach complements the Tanovis platform, turning lignin’s natural functionality into tangible product performance. We hold a strategic investment in Lignopure and collaborate closely on advancing high-purity lignin applications, supporting shared ambitions for scalable, commercial impact within the circular bioeconomy.

Red Leaf

Red Leaf is a Canadian company pioneering North America’s first large-scale non-wood pulp mill using wheat straw instead of trees. Founded in 2019, the company transforms agricultural residue into sustainable pulp for packaging, tissue, and molded products while also producing renewable energy and high-value sulfur-free lignin.

Through the partnership, Red Leaf and Tanovis intend to collaborate on the valorisation and commercial development of the produced lignin, with a shared focus on advancing practical, market-driven solutions from renewable biomass streams. Red Leaf’s flagship facility in Regina, Saskatchewan, is scheduled to begin construction in 2026 and reach commercial production by 2028.
